homeBild2-boris001Hey everybody. I’m visiting a friend I know for many years. He’s a singer from Switzerland but living now in London UK. There he works for Regulation, a fetish store. Of coures i know i will not get a lot of advices about fetish stores but I know, this guy is really kinky, loves to out so that I can be sure that I’ll get really good advices.

May the recommondations can also help you to plan your next trip to the capital of the United Kingdom.

sadoSAM: Hi Dorian, thanks for showing me around the town where you live. I know you’re into the kinky stuff too. How long have you been living out your desires and how did you come to that?

Dorian: I’ve been introduced to kink by a couple of very good friends of mine. It started with private sessions at their dungeon space and slowly but surely, I explored the community a bit more. I moved to London in early 2014 and since then have had a few experiences at clubs and such.

sadoSAM: How do you live out your fetishes and what does appeal to you in s/m?

Dorian:I mostly enjoy private playroom/dungeon sessions. Clubs are fun, but I always find myself dancing and just having a laugh and meeting people. It’s not the same kind of fun but I enjoy both. We are a very alive community and I enjoy the diversity and openness.

As for what appeals to me, it’s really something Primal I guess. A basic instinct. Giving yourself completely to a stranger or someone you only meet in that sort of play is really horny. Once you get to know the people too much it can get complicated to get into the right mindset again.

sadoSAM: Alright, enough talking. It’s afternoon already and I want to see something. Let’s do a little bit shopping. Which fetish stores do we absolutely have to see and why?

Dorian: Well I’m a purchasing and retail manager for Regulation, a fetish store and brand established for more than 20 years in the business. Regulation makes Rubber and Leather gear and carries a great range of sex toys of any kind. You’d be amazed at what you can find here. For example, we’re at the moment working on a new design for a vac cube. Always trying to bring exciting stuff to the market.

The store has got a bunker vibe to it and the staff is very friendly. I won’t speak about other stores since you can get anything you need there 🙂

sadoSAM: Whoo, shopping can be quite tiring after all. Are there any coffeehouses or bars that are open in the afternoon and that you can recommend?

Dorian: There are a lot of pubs where you can have a good beer. Watch out for happy hour usually between 5-8, depending on where you go. There is a bar called The Verve around Leicester Square that serves everything half price (bottles included) during that time. It’s not a gay venue, but it’s London: everywhere is a gay bar.

You will of course find your favourite coffehouse and restaurant chains such as Starbucks, Nero, Costa, KFC, etc. It shouldn’t be a problem to find something to your liking.

sadoSAM: After those hot guys in the bar I’m kinda horny. Where are the good cruising areas or saunas here?

Dorian: There are a couple of popular Saunas in London. The biggest is the most central called SweatBox and is very near Soho. However, having been there personally, I didn’t really enjoy it. I found it small and with almost no actual sauna, pool space.

If you are in the mood for some more kinky fun, The Hoist in Vauxhall is a favourite. It attracts a varied crowd, from subs, puppies to leather bears. Leave your inhibitions at the cloakroom and dive in the playroom’s maze.

If you are serious about your leather Bluff style, The Backstreet is the place to go. I have personally never been but have heard good reviews.

If you are in town with buddies or wanna take it more private with the hot guys you just met (or both), there are a few great dungeon space to hire. There is Blue Door Dungeon in Angel if you are looking for a well furnished modern playroom. It has got a lounge area, a medical area, a watersports area, etc.

If you are looking for a place with a more alternative feel to it, I recommend the Bunker, around Baker Street. It has got a huge main dungeon equipped with benches, bondage chairs, sling, etc and has got an electric suspension mechanism.

sadoSAM: I think it’s time to kick around town. Can you tell me which good bars are on the program. What kind of people do they attract and when is it going?

Dorian: If you want to wear that brand new gear that you just bought, there are a few bars that welcome kinky minded people. If you are a leather enthusiast, The Eagle) in Vauxhall is the pllace to go. Come on, join the fun! they also often have bondage or SM workshop or pornshows on. If you like a good alternative drag act, they are now the new house to The Meth Lab, a collective of artists  setting fire to the London scene for years!

If you are in a dancing mood and enjoy pop music (I know you love that Britney tune), you can go to G-A-Y bar is the place to go (and 1.70 drinks on Sunday-Thursday).

If you love Karaoke, hit The Village on Tuesdays and Wednedays. You can even get a free drink if you dare to get up and sing. Time to rehearse your favourite Streisand number!!

Other great places in Soho include the Friendly Society and Freedom Bar.

sadoSAM: The clubs and parties should be warming up now. What’s on the program and where can we experience something? Are there any returning fetish events running here?

Dorian: If you are in the mood for clubbing and you enjoy techno and electro house music, I suggest you get to Vauxhall. There is always a gay night happening there and when the party ends, another club usually holds an afterparty. You can easily party from 11pm to 5pm the next day on a good week-end.

If you are more of a radio pop enthusiast, I suggest you get to Heaven, part of the G-A-Y chain, around Charing Cross.

As for fetish events or parties, Hard On is a monthly one and one of the most famous in town. Twice a year they also run Hotwire, which is a bigger version of Hard On. Those are parties with a dancefloor, great DJs and big play areas. Dresscode is usually leather or rubber.

The other big event coming up in a couple of months is London Fetish Week. People from all around the world will be flying in, don’t miss it! There are multiple events during the week across all of London’s fetish venues. It all ends in a huge huge party. Check their website for the full program.

sadoSAM: Either we are going to play in a sauna again or I’m going to sleep. Can you recommend me a good hotel or a special accommodation.

Dorian:

I don’t know much about accommodations, but I would recomment getting a room or a flat on Airbnb. It will probably be cheaper and you will be more independant.

Now, book those plane tickets and get here for all the fun!!
