homeBild2-igy001Hey dudes. Next stop of my kinky holiday will be Prague. There i’ll visit Igy, the vice president of the Czech leathermen association and webmaster of the pup play webpage. That makes me feel sure that he knows what kink is and what I am looking for. It is my first visit in the Czech capital. It has to be a beautiful city but of course i am also interested in the dark sides.

sadoSAM: Hi Igy, thanks for showing me around the town where you live. I know you’re into the kinky stuff too. How long have you been living out your desires and how did you come to that?

Igy: I’m living my kinky life for nine years now, since I moved to Prague. I lived in smaller town (still forth biggest in CR) and it just didn’t work. That’s why so many gay/kinky guys move to Prague. And I actually always know I like more of S/M playing than regular vanilla style, when moved to Prague I went straight to the thing.

I only wasn’t into pup-play. That was new to me and more an experiment when Master suggested it. Now it’s my biggest kink. And I wasn’t into fetish clothing at all. My boyfriend taught me to like army, leather & latex when we started dating and I’m very glad.

sadoSAM: How do you live out your fetishes and what does appeal to you in s/m?

Igy: Since I’m the vice president of the Czech leather club, I’m mostly organizing leather and fetish events of our club, the Mr. Leather contest, workshops and so on. I also travel across Europe to various events to represent the Czech community. I’m also webmaster of Czech pupplay site, so I did some workshops for that as well and try to organize some meetings. That’s not much of living the kink on organizers side, but I love it and I’m proud I can be part of that.

In the free time, I’m enjoying pup-playing and S/M sessions with my mates. I have great range of kink interests and I do all of them in both Dom and sub role, so I have several “lovers” to cover all that and it takes lots of time 😀 Or I just go for coffee or dinner with some friends and good thing is, no one really care what you wear, so going in leather or with collar and kink-themed shirt causes no problems. But bare-assed chaps are not recommended on street, not even during Prague Pride parade.

sadoSAM: Alright, enough talking. It’s afternoon already and I want to see something. Let’s do a little bit shopping. Which fetish stores do we absolutely have to see and why?

Igy: Unfortunately, there are no “bricks-and-mortar” shops in Czech republic. There were several experiments, but didn’t take long. Owner of one of the online shops said Prague isn’t interesting for kinky travelers and the shops can’t survive from locals. So you can only buy some basic stuff like poppers, cock rings, etc. in many saunas and fetish/sex clubs.

Most of the online shops are reselling things from Mr.B or other shops. But I have to mention Fetishak, a friend of mine that makes very interesting clothing from rubber.

sadoSAM: Whoo, shopping can be quite tiring after all. Are there any coffeehouses or bars that are open in the afternoon and that you can recommend?

Igy: Qcafé is very nice place that support several LGBT events and organizations so you can find interesting information there and also some nice homemade snacks. Cafébar Flirt is nearby and offers good atmosphere as well and usually very hot men serving you. That’s why Flirt is quite popular among leather and bear men.

Café Muzeum is very well known since is near the Wenceslav’s square, the center of Prague life, and Celebrity café is in the center of gay street Vinohradská.

sadoSAM: After those hot guys in the bar I’m kinda horny. Where are the good cruising areas or saunas here?

Igy: First thing I have to admit is that the cruising areas aren’t very steady. Sometimes it’s crowded, sometimes it’s deserted and no one knows why. Anyway, there are three saunas I know about – Labyrint, which is quite big with bar and sauna rooms in one floor and cruising are in other two floors. Then it’s Babylon, which is near the downtown, across the street from Flirt. And last is Bonbon which I would describe as cozy.

If you prefer clubs, there is Club Drakes opened 24/7, but it isn’t much crowded. Or Alcatraz club which used to be famous kink club, but as the time went, it unfortunately downgraded only to sex club, but it works well in that area. But it opens at 9PM.

sadoSAM: I think it’s time to kick around town. Can you tell me which good bars are on the program. What kind of people do they attract and when is it going?

Igy: I’m not much into dancing, so I can’t give you recommendation in that area. The most famous Valentino was closed down. Sometimes it opens under new management and sometimes new name (right now, it’s Termax), but it don’t last long. You can try it anyway.

Second most famous is Termix just across the street, which is very popular among the young gays and it’s usually very crowded. There’s also Club Escape, that tried to look like a regular gay disco with gogo boys and it’s not secret you can buy the boys.

Among bears and older generation, Strelec is quite popular, but it’s not kink friendly, having some troubles with the owner for scaring away other customers 😀 Club Fanfan can be very friendly to kinky guys when we have a meeting there and take over the back room for ourselves, but it’s quite cozy and nice all the time.

But the best club for fetish guys and also for night cruising is Factory club, that’s why we do our leather meetings there. It also makes thematic nights, but unfortunately, most of the guys go there not knowing the night theme and not caring. Probably because the kink community isn’t that big here.

In most of the cafés and bars, you can get a gay prague map for free, so definitelly look (or ask) for it and see what other clubs are around.

sadoSAM: The clubs and parties should be warming up now. What’s on the program and where can we experience something? Are there any returning fetish events running here?

Igy: The leather club Leathers.CZ is doing regular meetings every month in club FanFan, moving to the Factory club later, so if you are there during the right weekend, definitelly worth visiting. The club also do some special events like Leather Zone during the Prague Pride and Mr. Leather and New Year’s Eve party, so just on facebook or the club website what is planned.

There are several groups making events for bears, so it’s not hard to find some meeting during your stay, but it’s best to just ask some local bear.

If we leave gay community and go for kinky gay-friendly, there are Hell parties and Fetish Night worth visiting, but it’s often sold out in advance. Also there is a semi-private BDSM Atelier making some events, kink meetings and workshops, but it’s easier to get in when you know someone from the patrons, e.g. the leather club board.

sadoSAM: Either we are going to play in a sauna again or I’m going to sleep. Can you recommend me a good hotel or a special accommodation.

Igy: There are no hotels known as gay-friendly, except those offering more or less openly prostitutes hanging around in hotel bar or lobby. So I’d just recommend the usual hotel search engines (Booking, Hotels) to find close accommodation. If you go for 3+ stars, you can be quite sure the sleep will be pleasant.

sadoSAM: Hey Igy, thank you for this great day in Prague. I wish you all the best for the future and hope to see you soon.
